We’re happy to welcome Adam Woogh to the NWTRPA team as our Interim Director - Professional Development!
Adam was born and raised in Kingston, Ontario. After completing degrees in Environmental Science and Education, he worked as an outdoor educator for the Limestone District School Board, facilitating curriculum-based on-the-land learning experiences and guiding remote wilderness expeditions for high school-aged students.
Adam relocated to Yellowknife in 2009 to work with Arctic Response Canada and began instructing field safety, emergency response, and environmental monitoring programs to participants and organizations across the NWT.
He progressed to the roles of NT/NU Regional Manager and eventually Chief Instructor, overseeing company-wide instructional standards and curriculum designs.
Adam joined the NWTRPA as the Interim Director of Professional Development in October 2023.
He currently lives in Yellowknife with his wife and three children, where he remains active coaching and playing hockey and enjoying the outdoors.
Adam will be our new go-to for HIGH FIVE, Recreation North, our Annual Conference, and all things in supporting professional development!
