Dear 2023 Conference Participants,
First and foremost, all of us at the NWT Recreation and Parks Association hope you are safe and doing well, considering the challenging summer the NWT has faced with previous and ongoing evacuation alerts and orders. To everyone who has reached out to our staff with offers of support, we offer our deep gratitude.
Thank you to all who have registered for the 2023 NWT Recreation and Parks Annual Conference. We are sorry to inform you that due to the ongoing state of emergency and evacuation orders still in place in many communities, the 2023 Open Arms, Open Spaces Conference will be postponed to October 22-24, 2024 in Sǫ̀mba K’è / Yellowknife at the Explorer Hotel.
NWTRPA staff will be back in the office next week, and a full refund will be issued if you have already registered. Please cancel any travel plans or accommodation bookings you have made for the 2023 conference.
